In this one-hour Reflections on Holistic Clinical Reasoning session, Kim and Shelley will discuss the clues that may point to both strengths and challenges in sensory processing, postural control, attachment, motor control, emotional regulation and cognition as well as the many interconnections between systems. As a team, they will demonstrate holistic clinical reasoning in practice as they analyze a short video clip of a client and highlight observations that illuminate possibilities for both assessment and treatment.

LIVE FREE WEBINAR: The Nervous System & Self-Regulation: Maintaining Relationship with Yourself in Times of Tragedy

In moments of tremendous fear, horror or shock — how do we hold onto ourselves? In other words, what role does maintaining a relationship with one's self play in surviving trauma, whether witnessing it across the world or experiencing it in your own body? It seems we are all wondering how to navigate the spaces between hope and hopelessness, between despair and connectedness and, as the human race continues to evolve, the hues of answers to these questions may be one of the most critical knowings — not just to understand but to truly embody — for both individual and collective healing. Join Kim Barthel and Leah Dawang for a conversation stepping into these deep waters and exploring how interventions like The Safe and Sound Protocol can benefit the nervous system and self-regulation as we navigate times of tragedy.
