DESCRIPTION:
Through the lens of the NDT Contemporary Practice Model, clinicians will expand their understanding of theory, kinesiology, typical development, clinical reasoning, and intervention strategies. The focus of this 12 hours of content will be on the development of participation in upper extremity function, grasp, and manipulation in human occupations across diverse contexts. Clinicians un-interested in the full advanced certification process are welcome to attend the virtual series as a stand-alone learning.
Therapists who work with children experiencing neurological challenges will benefit from this intense 8 Sesions of learning experience that is a hybrid in its delivery. This course is designed to support NDT practitioners to the highest level, combining lectures, labs, video presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and practicums with children. The focus of the content will be on the development of upper extremity use, grasp, and manipulation as it connects to the trunk and lower extremities in daily function.
