Help Us Support People In Ukraine

The situation in Ukraine is critical and the civilian population is living in constant danger.

Kim & the Relationship Matters team are helping an effort to directly support the provision of ambulances, medical equipment, food and water to all the areas in the Ukraine that may need it. This effort by our friends and colleagues at UNITY, in association with Bodynamic International and Veteran Hub, we hope will save lives.

A note from Arijana Lukic who is helping to coordinate efforts on behalf of this group:

As most of you know, I am part of the Bodynamic International Organization which is a Developmental Somatic Psychology school based in Denmark. You may also know that Bodynamic helped develop a center in Ukraine called the Veteran Hub that provides support and training for veterans who need help with PTSD. Bodynamic is specialized in developmental psychology and also in shock trauma and crisis work.

Several members of the Association of Bodynamic Psychology, including myself, have decided to volunteer and help Ukraine and the refugees as much as we can through different resources.

So far we are:

💙💛 Partnering with an organization called UNITY to raise money to buy 10 fully equipped ambulances which will also be filled with food and medical supplies and dispatched to Ukraine to save lives. We WILL NEED HELP FROM EVERYONE WE KNOW TO RAISE FUNDS for this. PLEASE FIND BELOW THE WAYS TO DONATE.

💙💛 Partnering with the Veteran Hub in Ukraine to support those fighting in the field and also their wives and kids as needed.

💙💛 Organizing Safe Spaces for Refugees across Europe in various locations.

💙💛 Organizing therapists who will be doing crisis work with those in need, in person and via Zoom, depending on location and language spoken. This will be open for all refugees, Ukrainian or other nationals who are fleeing and affected by this crisis and also their families.

The faster the people receive psychological support during a crisis, the less they have a chance to get PTSD afterwards. For this reason, it is crucial to receive support as soon as possible. Support is also essential for parents who have children as children are dependent on their parents' state of mind to live through this difficult time. We are also looking into how we can support children specifically as well with more details to come.

I am sharing this as a first initial point of sharing. I will be volunteering myself to do crisis work with people and also helping to raise the money on top of coordinating the publishing of all support material to assist everyone involved in this process.

I also want to share with you that if you know someone who needs psychological support at this time, they can contact me via email at hello@kimbarthel.ca. I know Canada is also a mini Ukraine and if any refugees come here and need support, they can reach out to me and I will make sure they are registered on our list.

NOTE: We as volunteers represent Bodynamic International but this volunteer work is done independently from the school. We are people in support of human rights and international law.
