Occupational therapists who evaluate support and enhance function are constantly questioned by their clients “How do I help my child or myself sleep”? This workshop addresses this important question.

Course Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
develop a preliminary understanding of the science of sleep
develop skills for assessment and analysis of sleep dysregulation across the lifespan
develop an appreciation of the relevance of treating sleep challenges through regulatory interventions
develop a rationale for and a repertoire of sensory strategies to support sleep challenges
develop an understanding of posture and movement challenges related to sleep
develop a toolbox of environmental adaptations to support sleep dysregulation
develop a preliminary understanding of alternative sleep interventions
