This workshop is designed to help professionals understand the importance of collaboration within family-centred practice and appreciate the connection to the trans-disciplinary model of intervention for children with special needs. Various learning objectives will be targeted with a focus on the following topics: understanding the difference between sensory and behaviour, self-regulation and arousal, the interconnectedness of posture and movement in emotional regulation and learning, the impact of attachment and trauma on arousal, language development and executiive functioning. This course is designed for a variety of professionals including but not limited to Rehabilitation Therapists, Educational Professionals, Family Support Workers and Social Work, Behaviour Therapy and Child Care Providers.
