Towards Fair and Accessible Pricing

by Bob Spensley

One of the things we’re not sure about is if people know about the ways in which we're making the pricing of Relationship Matters’ courses as fair and accessible as we can. We do this because there are widely different local economies around the world, and we’ve seen that therapists might earn $10/day in one place and $1,000/day in another place for the same effort. We also know that anyone can fall on hard financial times, no matter where they are, what their profession, and what their level of excellence.

Here are some of the strategies we use towards making the access to our online, on-demand trainings listed here, as fair and accessible as possible:

  1. If you’re living in a country that is not defined as “Category A for economic prosperity” (see this list), and you click the relevant button, you automatically qualify for between 50-60% off depending on which country you live in.

  2. Even in the wealthiest countries, you can get 25% off just by clicking the financial support button on any of our recorded, on-demand courses, no questions asked.

  3. If you can arrange with your colleagues to be part of a group of at least 3 people, you can get a further discount of between 15-40% off depending on the size of your group.

  4. These discounts can be combined.

  5. For those of you who join our Global Mentorship Alliance, on top of the options above, you get an additional 30% off all our Relationship Matters online, on-demand courses.

  6. When you are registered in our in-person courses, you’ll see we love to give away a number of our online, on-demand courses as door prizes.

Why are we making our courses as accessible as we can, within reason?

We deeply know the world can be desperately unfair and divided. We can’t control much of what’s causing this pain on a global scale, but pricing of these courses is one small way to make things a little easier for people who are already doing everything they can to help others. Our courses are designed to help people be their best selves as well in being their best professional selves. Because our courses are made up of information that we wish everyone would know, info that we wish we’d known when we started our careers, we want to share it. When people legitimately can pay the standard rates, we’re grateful. When they truly can’t, but still see value in taking them to be able to offer greater services to the people they support, we’re also truly grateful for what can be paid at the discounted prices. It gives us dopamine and oxytocin to see and hear that the products of our energies and experiences can be of service in different cultures and widely different contexts.

If you or your organization has significant need for our trainings and your finances are more stressed than our current financial supports can weather, please reach out to hello@kimbarthel.ca for discussion.

Thank you for accessing our Relationship Matters courses however your interests direct and however your economic realities allow.
