COURSE SYNOPSIS
In the past decade, movement challenges have become one of the earliest diagnostic features of autism spectrum disorder, prompting the initiation of early intervention in many contexts across the globe. This two day-course combines cutting-edge motor control, literature and neurobiological research that identifies these motor system impairments in ASD with Neuro-Developmental Treatment clinical reasoning and facilitation for intervention. Clinicians will learn to analyze and provide interventions for posture and movement challenges of ASD from birth to adulthood through an NDT lens. Clinical reasoning and movement facilitation will be introduced through lecture, videotape analysis, live demonstration, and practical hands-on labs.
