Autism is increasingly prevalent, and we know it has an impact teaching, learning, and classroom dynamics.
This 90-minute introductory online workshop will challenge participants to re-think what kind of classroom culture (and society) we want to encourage going forward. During the session, we will be talking about the science of what is going on for those with ASD - bringing compassion more directly into the conversation.
The strategies to be discussed will focus on best practices form the perspective of helping every student to become their best selves. Adapting classrooms, curriculum and the way we teach to meet the needs of those who are differently-abled can also benefit all children in the classroom.
Please join us as we explore knowledge, attitudes and actions in relation to ASD in the classroom.
